Shelly's is a well-known place to have breakfast. Shelly herself, gave us such a warm welcome. The menu was unknown and very strange to
us all... BISCUITS with GRAVY???

Shelly tried to explain and then decided it will be best to just
bring us an order of BISCUITS. What a
nice surprise: A steaming, hot-out-of-the-oven
RUSK (as known in SA). The butter was
melting on it, just as the biscuit melted in our mouths.
Then the surprise on our plates...the order in the photo is eggs, sausage, hash browns and a biscuit. The “sausage” is a patty and the “hash browns” are fried grated potatoes. I must say, VERY NICE. Luckily an egg is an egg!
