We leave behind the” Free State” and the “Karoo”. From here the environment changes again,
becoming more hilly, and with more trees.
Then we enter a valley at 8100 feet...it became a forest, with a river
running all the way next to the road.
This old wooden bridge was next to the road...not in use anymore. We saw many camp sites and wooden cabins. I think the owners come in winter when it snows. I can just imagine how beautiful it must be!

We were on the wrong road...had to go back 30 miles, but the
detour was every mile worth. The road
was a very difficult one for Hans with all the benches, but Hans made it out
like a champion...We appreciate your driving skills over the 1500 miles we have
done!!
